#Samurai shodown anthology reviw series
Not only does it feature every character to ever appear in the series (excluding characters from Samurai Shodown 64 and Warrior's Rage), it also has some interesting new characters. I've had plenty of experience with Samurai Shodown VI (back when I had a Japanese PS2), and I've got to say that it's probably the best game in the series, and I most likely wouldn't hesitate to pay the price SNK Playmore will likely ask for the Anthology just for it. For those of you curious, the Anthology consists of Samurai Shodown I, II, III, IV, V, V Special, and VI. Thankfully SNK Playmore is planning on changing that later this year when Samurai Shodown Anthology is released. The Samurai Showdown Anthology brings each one together into one tidy package and here I am, discovering a set of games 15 years in the past on a new age console, the Playstation Portable. I checked out the facts online and found out they have been going for 15 years. Known in Japan as Samurai Spirits: Tenkaichi Kenkakuden, Samurai Shodown VI made an appearance in US arcades courtesy of Sega, but has never appeared on home consoles. The Samurai Showdown games aren't a set of games that I have ever heard of. A sequel to the game, known as Dunk Dream 95 in Japan, Hoops 96 in Europe, and simply Hoops in North America, was released in 1995. The game features three-on-three basketball match-ups with a variety of different teams. In a video interview with Gamespot, SNK Playmore revealed at GDC that Samurai Shodown VI will be appearing for the first time on US home consoles as part of Samurai Shodown Anthology. Street Slam is a basketball video game developed by Data East for Neo Geo, released in 1994. Ill give it 4 stars since it didnt include that game but. Samurai Shodown Anthology has every one of the previous arcade games except 5: Special. Well, now there's even more reason to be excited. 4.3 out of 5 stars (3 reviews) 5 stars 1 4 stars 2 3 stars 0 2 stars 0 1 star 0 See all reviews. When I heard that SNK Playmore was putting together a collection of past games in the series, I was excited to say the least.
